Why is Brain Balance Important?
Concepts involving the brain and neural network can be difficult to understand, so let's use the example of a physical injury.
When you sprain your ankle or injure your knee, you feel the pain of the incident when it happens, but you also deal with the repercussions for some time. You may limp. You may reduce how much you move. You will subconsciously make changes to your gait (how you walk) to minimize the pain until it heals.
What you may NOT realize is that these small changes in frequency, gait, and energy can have lasting impact! Many people report lower back pain after recovering from a knee or ankle injury. This pain comes from those small changes that you make. Your body compensates for those changes by stressing muscles differently, which creates pain from the new movement patterns.
Brain balance seeks to treat the brain's behavioral patterns in order to address imbalances from physical AND emotional stresses.
Discover Incredible Results
Dr. Winters and the team at Winters Wellness have developed an exciting brain training program that brings real results to deal with real problems.
Bernadette was in the right place at the right time, making it possible for her to come see Dr. Winters and get to the root of her issues.
After an incredibly short amount of care, she's ready to move forward with her life!
Fitness requires more than a well-balanced diet and regular physical exercise. The human brain also plays a key role in being healthy. Through neurofeedback, Dr. Winters helps patients to train their brains to become more stable, resilient and flexible. When the brain functions at full capacity, people tend to overcome stressful life events more quickly. They are also better able to transition from a stressful day at work to a restful night’s sleep when the day is done.
When the central nervous system is not functioning properly, individuals are vulnerable to a variety of common conditions including ADHD, PTSD, Alzheimer’s Disease, autism, depression, anxiety, insomnia and poor responses to stress.
Dr. Winters uses a program called Neuro Optimal, which provides a real time way for the brain to learn about itself and to correct its patterns of inefficiency. When the central nervous system is operating efficiently, patients find that they are able to battle a multitude of physical, chemical and emotional stresses that are placed on their systems each day.
After receiving neurofeedback, many of Dr. Winters’ patients report improvements in their quality of sleep, mental focus, confidence and satisfaction, as well as an increase in their productivity at work. Patients with a history of being unable to successfully manage stressful life events report that they feel more calm and relaxed after undergoing the neurofeedback program that Dr. Winters prescribes.
The truth is that our brains have all the tools that our bodies need to live healthy, happy lives. While your brain may become weak, it never really forgets the information that you have learned. Yet, sometimes we require a boost to improve overall brain function.
There are so many positive effects that have been documented as our patients undergo brain balance training with an emphasis on creating a quantum shift in the brain's processing. The variety of benefits have shown to create lasting effects with some changes continuing to improve dramatically six months or even a year AFTER the therapy. Better understanding how to properly care for yourself through physical, emotional, and neurological care is an incredibly important step towards living a healthier, happier life.
